C. Fred Silva, 64, of Hudson, died Monday, Sept. 20th at UMASS Memorial Healthcare, University Campus in Worcester. He was predeceased by his wife Karen (Lord) Silva in 2008.
Born and raised in Santa Rosa, CA, son of the late Arthur and Mary Ann (Engels) Silva, Fred was a graduate of Santa Rosa, CA High School. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy. Fred was employed by the former Digital Equipment Corp. for over 20 years as a computer engineer.
He is survived by his two sons, Tyler Silva Sr. of Hudson and Nathan Silva of Worcester. He is also survived by his three brothers, Robert David Silva San Antonio, TX, Bajurin Silva of Santa Rosa, CA, Marty Silva of California and his grandchildren, Tyler Jr. Thomas and Alyssa Silva.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 23rd at 6:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Sept. 23rd from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
