Mrs. Richardson was born on August 3, 1948 in Douglas and was the daughter of the late Eston Carelock and Essie Jones Carelock. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Crossgrove; and one brother, Wakely Carelock. She and her children were raised in Fitzgerald and later moved to Tifton. She loved her children very much. Whether they were her step-children or her children’s spouses, she loved them all as though she had given birth to each one. Her last home was shared with her husband, Kenneth Richardson, at Golden South Personal Care Home in Sycamore. She was a very kind, loving and compassionate woman. As a selfless lady, she used her time and energy loving and caring for others. She will be deeply missed by all who knew here.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, who find comfort in knowing she is rejoicing with our Lord, are three sons and daughters-in-law, Darryl and Joanna Crossgrove of Tifton, Kenny and Tina Owens of San Bernardino, California and Jeff and Kim Richardson of Fitzgerald; one daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Martin Hough of Fitzgerald; nine grandchildren, Shelby and Alexis Crossgrove, Derek, Allen and Virginia Burnette, Russ Ridgeway, Chandler Hough and Adam and Taylor Richardson; and one brother, James Carelock of Fitzgerald. Her extended family is the staff and residents of Golden South Personal Care Home in Sycamore, as well as members of Calvary Baptist Church.
