Harlem, GA – Stephen A. Godin, 77, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 15, 2010.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Platt’s Funeral Home Belair Rd. chapel with Rev. Michael Lubinsky celebrant. Entombment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park.
Stephen was very proud of his Army career, and even prouder of his Native American heritage. He retired as a Drill Sergeant First Class in 1973. He also managed the former Augusta Athletic Club.
Stephen was the beloved husband of Nancy L. Godin of Harlem, GA, devoted father of Jane Waller of Augusta, GA, Donna Thompson of Athens, GA, Jimmy Godin of Houston, TX, Jerry Godin of Gulf Port, MS. He was also survived by 7 step-daughters, 22 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the funeral home.
