In Providence, RI of North Street in Somerset, September 19, 2010 Sean D. died suddenly after running a road race in Providence RI at the age of 29. Born in Taunton, Sean was the son of Francis and Priscilla (Hayes) Duarte. Sean was a graduate of D.R. High School class of 1998 and U Mass Dartmouth graduating #1 in his class in 2003. Sean was a Civil and Environmental Engineer for CDM in Providence RI. Sean was a very special person and a true friend to all. He was a member of the trustees of reservations of Massachusetts and loved the outdoors, sailing, music, hiking, a world traveler and he especially loved his dog Rex. Sean was the brother of Jason P. Duarte of Randolph, Sarah A. Duarte of Scottsdale, Arizona and Priscilla “GiGi” Duarte of North Dighton. Loving companion of Alissa Murfitt of Somerset. He was survived by many aunts and uncles, five nephews and many cousins. Calling hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Thursday September 23rd from 4-8 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Taunton Friday at 10 am.
