Leslie J. Baxter, 65, of Salem, NH died Sunday, Sept. 19th at his home, surrounded by his family, after a brave battle with cancer.
Les was born and educated in Vermont. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Les was a heavy equipment operator and worked for George Merrill & Son, Inc. in Salem for 41 years.
Les was a member of the VFW Post #8546 of Salem. He enjoyed spending time with his family at Crystal Lake in Vermont. Les also enjoyed hunting, boating and fishing.

Brother: Wayland Baxter of Glover, VT
Sister: Sharon Bickford of Barton, VT
3 Grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Dawson and Savanna Wilde
2 Nieces: Stephanie and Regina
Calling hours will be Friday Sept. 24th from 4-8 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. There is no funeral service.
