Joseph “Cousin Joe” Sciuto, Sr., of Salem, NH, died Saturday at his home after a long illness. He was 60 years old. He had been a resident of Salem, NH for the past 28 years, previously living in Methuen, MA.
He was born in Lawrence, MA where he grew up and was educated, graduating from Lawrence High School in 1960. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Salem, NH.
Mr. Sciuto, along with his wife, were the owners and operators of Uncle Nick Inc. He was a Game Concessionaire and worked in the carnivals all over New England for the past 30 years until his retirement 2 years ago.
He and his wife, Francine, wintered in the Florida Keys for the past 16 years. He was a member of the Sombrero Country Club in Marathon, FL and also a member of the Elks Lodge in Marathon, FL. He was an avid golfer, a sports fan who especially enjoyed the Boston Red Sox, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren, Nate, Zoe, JR and Cecelia.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Francine (Narushef) Sciuto

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 AM at St. Joseph’s Church in Salem, NH. Cremation will follow. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-8PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH 03079.
