Joan E. (Palmer) LaPlante, 75, a resident of Bridgewater, died at Village at Willow Crossing in Mansfield on Friday, September 17. She was the wife of the late Gerald E. LaPlante. Born in Boston, she was raised and educated in Dorchester and was a graduate of Boston Schools. She also attended Business School. She was a resident of Bridgewater for 14 years after living in Brockton for 22 years. Mrs. LaPlante was a homemaker as well as an Administrative Assistant for the Dept. of Transitional Assistance in Brockton. In her free time she loved spending time with her family.
Mrs. LaPlante was the mother of Susan M. Pratt and her husband Daniel M. of Easton, Elizabeth A. Aranda and her husband Norman J. of IN, Joan E. Patriakeas and her husband John of Groveland, Christopher L. LaPlante and his wife Kimberly of CO and the late William C. LaPlante. She was the sister of William Palmer of Yarmouthport, Barbara Collins of Dorchester and the late John Palmer. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and close lifelong friends.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Tuesday, September 21 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Easton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Monday 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Donations in her memory may be made to the William C.
