Mrs. Marie (Bedard) Murphy, 76, of North Andover, Massachusetts, formerly a resident of Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, September 17th, 2010 at the Lawrence General Hospital.
She was born April 23rd, 1934 in Lynn, Massachusetts, daughter to the late Arthur and Blanche (Gosselin) Bedard. Marie was educated in Saint Mary's Girls High School in Lynn, MA.
She worked for Essex Trust in Lynn, MA., as a Secretary for 6 years. Marie was an attendant of Saint Michaels Church in North Andover, MA.
She enjoyed sewing, taking classes in arts and crafts, traveling and spending sunny days at the beach surrounded by her loving family.
Married on June 22nd, 1957 to her loving husband James E. Murphy, a marriage of 53 years.
Her children:
Son: Thomas M. Murphy and his partner Richard P. Clark of Ipswich, MA and her daughter-in-law Debra Murphy of North Andover, MA.
Daughter: Cathleen M. Murphy of Haverhill, MA., and Son Daniel J. and his wife Sheila (Long) Murphy of No. Andover, MA.
Brother: Arthur and his wife Valerie Bedard of Lynn, MA
Her grandchildren: Kathleen, Emily, Abigail, Tessa, Kellan and Derek.
As well as several nieces and nephews.
She was the grandmother to the late Cole Murphy
Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 20th, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. in Saint Michael Church, 196 Main Street, North Andover, MA.
Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery in North Andover, MA.
