WALTHAM/ NATICK: Jane A. “Janiac” (Hayes) Low, 59, died unexpectedly on Monday, Sept. 13, 2010 after being stricken at her residence and died a short time later at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
She was born in Gardner on July 28, 1951 the daughter of Jennie M. (Maloy) Hayes of Natick and the late Warren E. Hayes who died on September of 2007.
Janiac is survived by her devoted and loving daughters: Julie A. Low and Karyn T. Low both of Waltham. Cherished grandmother of Lily Anya Low-Marotto of Waltham. Sister of Mark W. Hayes and Mary Ellen Hayes both of Natick and Anne F. Hayes-Grillo and her husband Michael Grillo and their sons Harry and Peter Grillo all of Penobscot, Maine. Also survived by her husband Bruce E. Low of Framingham.
Janiac spent her formative years in Natick and was a graduate of Natick High School with the Class of 1969. She attended the New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing and the New England Educational Center in Holliston. She has been a respiratory therapist at the Newton Wellesley Hospital for the past 37 years. Her family was the center of her life and she always enjoyed being with then for family events. She had an interest in the history of trains and European cities, especially Paris. She loved to crochet and had an extensive collection of lighthouses. She was an avid reader and collector of Charles Dickens and Sherlock Holmes books. She loved being with her daughters and granddaughter Lily and will be greatly missed by them.
Visitations will be held on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road, (Off Rte 30), Cochituate Village, Wayland.
A Memorial Service Celebrating her Life will be held on Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010 at 6:00 pm at the Community United Methodist Church, 5 Damon St (corner of Rte 27 and Damon St) Cochituate Village, Wayland.
