Edith Lucille Dickey, age 71, of Water Valley, MS died at her home on Friday, September 17, 2010. She was born in Yalobusha County to the late Shelton Haire and Arsdale Chrestman Haire. Mrs. Dickey was a homemaker and she loved her cats. She was a member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church of Water Valley, MS.
The visitation will be held at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until
7:00 PM on Saturday, September 18, 2010. The funeral service will be held in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 19, 2010 with Bro. Ken Izzard officiating. Interment will take place at Elam Cemetery in Yalobusha County.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara (James) Griffin of Water Valley, MS; two sons, Frankie (Regina) Bennett of Water Valley, MS and Robert Wayne (Michelle) Bennett of Horn Lake, MS; one brother, John Edward (Barbara) Haire of Mt. Morris, Michigan; five grandchildren, Anthony Bennett, John Bennett, Kevin Bennett, Holly Griffin and Brittney Griffin, and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Dickey; one sister, Ethel Hawkins; two brothers, Roy Haire and Shelton Haire.
