Edith M. Walker, of Stoughton, passed away on Thursday November 27,2003, at home ,Unexpectedly , . She was 83 years old. She was the loving wife of the late H. Frederick Walker.
Born March 19,1920, in Boston,MA she was the daughter of the late Mr. Oscar and Mrs. Laura (Dramis) Rieser.
She attended Stoughton Public Schools and graduated from Stoughton High School, in 1938.
Mrs. Walker was a Waitress at the former Stoughton Diner Restaurant for over 25 years.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Stoughton for over 50 years.She was also a teacher of Religious Education, at the church.
She was a member also of The Order Of The Eastern Star in Stoughton.
She loved her family.
She enjoyed trips to Foxwoods Casino.
She is survived by her son, Wayne D. Walker Sr. and his wife Patricia of Stoughton.Also survived by her grandchildren Cheryl A. Murphy of N. Easton, Amanda A. Walker and Wayne D. Walker Jr. both of Stoughton. Also survived by one great-grandchild: Shannon L. Murphy of N. Easton. She was the sister of the late Evelyn Brigham, of Canton.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday December 1,2003 at 10 AM from the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street , (off Rt. 138 at the First Federal Savings Bank), Stoughton. Burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Visiting hours are on Sunday November 30,2003, from 4-7 PM.
