WEBSTER – Lottie S. (Zacek) Burke, 90, formerly of High Crest Park, entered eternal peace on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 surrounded by her loving family at the Overlook Masonic Home in Charlton. Her husband of 52 years, Thomas E. Burke, died in 1993.
She leaves 4 sons, Thomas P. and his wife Mary Burke of Westborough; James F. Burke of Boston; Leonard R. and his wife Mary Burke of Rockford, IL; J. Kevin and his wife Ann Burke of Tariffville, CT; 2 daughters, Marilyn Burke of Boston and Patricia A. Burke and her wife Victoria Sterling of Guilford, VT; a sister, Mary “Mae” Kolokowski of Worcester; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Anthony, Edward and Stanley Zacek, and by 2 sisters, Helen Chartier and Sophie Rascoe.
She was born in Dudley, the youngest of the 7 children of Stanislaus and Stephania (Stawiecki) Zacek. She lived in Webster most of her life.
She was a member of Saint Louis Church.
Mrs. Burke worked at the Cranston Print Works then at the American Greeting Co. and finally at Bartlett High School in the cafeteria.
Lottie touched the lives of all her family and all who knew her loving ways.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, September 18, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street with a concelebrated Mass at 11:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake St. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, September 17 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
