Mr. Roger Jason Hicks age 30, of Shoals, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Northern Surry Hospital. He was born in Forsyth County on July 1, 1980 to James Howard Hicks Sr., and Myra Holt.Mr. Hicks worked at Weaver Fertilizer in Winston-Salem and was a member of Shoals United Methodist Church.Mr. Hicks is survived by his loving daughter, Macie Dawn Hicks; father and step-mother, James Howard Hicks Sr. and Ann Hicks; mother, Myra Holt; his fiancé, Kimberly Lambeth; two brothers, Joseph Ellis Hicks of Shoals, James Howard Hicks Jr. (Jodi) of Rural Hall; and two sisters, Rebecca Hicks of Greensboro and Jamey Hudson (Wesley) of Bleus Creek; grandmother, Louise Hicks; aunts and uncles, Donna and Tim Collins, Vickie Westmoreland, Tony and Sue Wall, Junior and Francis Hicks and Sandra Throckmorton; one niece, Kadence Martin.Mr. Hicks is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Luella Westmoreland and Dillard Hicks.Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 17, 2010 across the road from the previous Shoals United Methodist Church at 4:00 PM with the Rev. Joseph M. Fulk III officiating with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
