Methuen, MA – Joseph E. Martin, Jr. 78 years, died Tuesday September 14, 2010 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Methuen November 17, 1931 son of Joseph E. Sr. and Lucille (Raymond) Martin. Joseph was an HVAC Technician and the former owner of Martin Air Conditioning.
During the Korean War Joseph served his country in the United States Navy prior to being honorably discharged. Joseph was a member of the Methuen Post #122 American Legion and a member of the Arnold Greenwood Post #8349 VFW of Methuen.
According to Mr. Martins family he enjoyed trips with his son in his RV, Foxwoods, and loved spending quality time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include children; Edward J. Martin, Sr. and his wife Robyn, of Haverhill, daughters Luann Fachini, of Pembroke, NH and Joann Brodeur and her husband Butch of Goffstown, NH. Sister Marcel Sykes of Pelham, NH, and his devoted companion Doris Cuipa of Lowell. Many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers Raymond, Ronald, Richard and his granddaughter Meagan Emma.
A Funeral Service will take place on Friday morning at 10:30 from the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen and burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
