TEWKSBURY - Mary C. (Amorin) DeMango, 70, died Monday morning, Jan. 28, at SaintsMemorial Medical Center in Lowell, after suffering an apparent heart attack at her home. Shewas the wife of Sergio F. DeMango, with whom she had celebrated a 50th wedding anniversarythis past June 10th.
She was born in Arlington, May 4, 1931, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Pereira) Amorinand raised in Arlington. She lived the greater part of her life in Burlington, and had moved toTewksbury in 1989.
As a resident of Burlington, she was active in St. Margaret’s Church and belonged to the church’sbowling league. As a resident of Tewksbury, she was a communicant of St. William’s Church.
She was also active in C.M.A.R.C. in Woburn, an organization devoted to mentally challengedchildren and adults.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Sergio F. and his wifeMaureen (Conroy) DeMango of Wilmington, two daughters, Diane D. DeMango of Bolton andLaura A. DeMango of Lexington, her step mother, Natalie (Piques) Amorin of Arlington, threegrandchildren, Christine, David and Brendan DeMango all of Wilmington, three brothers and asister-in-law, John Amorin Jr. of Arlington, Joseph Amorin of Westford, Walter and his wife Edna(Paragona) Amorin of Woburn, and many nieces and nephews.
She was also mother of the late Florence J. DeMango who died in 1982, and sister of the lateAlice Medeiros and Lucy Witham.
Her Funeral Mass was held Thursday, Jan. 31, in St. William’s Church. Burial was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery,Burlington.
