Patricia Louise Scearce Rust, age 69, of 569 Arlington Road, Danville, passed away on September 13, 2010 in Danville Regional Medical Center. She had been in declining health for the past several months.
Born May 18, 1941 in Derry, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Charles Burton Scearce and Claire Winifred Forsythe Scearce.
She married George Edward Rust, Jr. who survives and was a retired accountant with the IRS. Mrs. Rust was of the Baptist faith, and her life was spent doing for others, receiving joy from giving to her friends and family.
Survivors include one daughter: Cindy L. Reynolds and her husband Leon of Danville; one son: George E. Rust, III and his wife Tabitha of Christiansburg, VA; one grandson: George E. Rust, IV of Christiansburg, VA; two brothers: Rev. Charles B. Scearce and his wife Sue of Danville, Robert B. Scearce and his wife Annette of Danville; one sister: Cathy A. Farley and her husband Lee of Danville; and a number of nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one sister and by one brother.
Graveside services, officiated by her brother, Dr. Charles Scearce, will be conducted Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 4 p.m. in Danville Memorial Gardens.
