Lucille M. Bailey, 77, of Derry, NH, died Sunday September 12, 2010, in her home. She was born in East Corinth, ME on August 24, 1933, a daughter of Charlie W. and Sara M. (Buzzel) Noddin. She was a resident of Derry for the past 72 years, formerly living in Maine. Mrs. Bailey was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy, Class of 1951. She worked as a cook for the Derry School System while her children were still in school. An avid seamstress, Mrs. Bailey was employed as a Manager for several years at So-Fro Fabrics at the Manchester Mall. While she had worked several jobs in her life, her main job was raising her family. Her life revolved around her family and she also held many lifelong friendships from her years growing up in Derry. Mrs. Bailey enjoyed extensive traveling, gardening, and playing Bingo. She loved the outdoors and being around nature.
She is survived by one son, Bryan Bailey and wife Jayne of Gilford, NH, four daughters, Gwendolyn Golden and husband Christopher of Manchester, NH, Estelle Abood and husband Louis of Derry, Catherine Coutu and husband Robert of Grafton, NH, Dianna Millonig and husband Thomas of Georgia, eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two sisters, Charlotte Bartlett of Gilmanton, NH, Sandra Tinkham of Jupiter, FL, one brother, Charlie W. Noddin Jr. of Belmont, NH. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas G. Bailey on September 6, 1996.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, graveside services were held on Thursday September 16th at 10:00am in the Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry Road, East Derry.
