WORCESTER-James W. LaRiviere, 87, of Worcester, died Sunday, September 12th in Parsons Hill Nursing Center. He leaves a brother, Francis LaRiviere of Shrewsbury; a sister, Doris Swett of Worcester; nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, great grandnephews and great grandnieces. He was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Thomas LaRiviere, and two sisters, Alice Boss and Margaret Legasey
He was born in Worcester, the son of James J. and Phoebe R. (Jacques) LaRiviere and attended Commerce High School. Mr. LaRiviere was a wire drawer for many years at American Steel & Wire, retiring in 1987. He was a World War II, U.S. Army Air Force veteran.
The funeral is Wednesday, September 15th with a service at 11:00 A.M. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Leicester. A calling hour will be from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday in the funeral home.
