Joseph Pine, 39, of the Forestdale section of Sandwich, formerly of Norton, passed away unexpectedly on Monday September 13, 2010 as the result of injuries sustained in an accident on Sandy Neck Beach in Barnstable.
Born in Attleboro, MA on December 24, 1970 he was a dear son of Thelma G. (Sylvester) Hincapie of Norton and the late Ronald D. Pine, Sr.
Joe grew up in Norton, was educated in Norton public schools and was a graduate of Norton High School.
A self-employed chimney sweep, he was the proud owner of the First Class Chimney Sweep Co. in Forestdale, which he had operated for the past 10 years.
Joe loved the outdoors where he enjoyed fishing and camping. He cherished the wonderful times spent with family, especially with his adoring son. A resident of Sandwich for 15 years he was a former longtime resident of Norton.
In addition to his dear mother he is survived by his loving son Daniel Joseph Pine of East Falmouth. He was the devoted brother of Ronald D. Pine, Jr. of Anthem, Arizona and Kenneth A. Pine of Woonsocket, Rhode Island. The beloved grandson of Thelma G. Sylvester of Attleboro, Joe is also survived by his former wife Rachel Dewees of East Falmouth as well as 2 nieces and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
At the request of Joseph’s family, services and burial will be private. Visiting hours are omitted and in lieu of flowers it has been requested that donations in his memory be made to the Daniel Joseph Pine Educational Fund, care of North Easton Savings Bank 25 West Main St. Norton, MA 02766.
