Meredith – Anne DeBeaux Mitchell, 94, formerly of Laconia, died Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Forestview Manor, Meredith.
Born in New York City, Anne graduated from Skidmore College as a music major and worked for Time-Life Corporation before marrying Dr. Walter L. Mitchell, Jr. They resided for many years in Glen Ridge, New Jersey before relocating to Laconia in 1986, where they enjoyed life together until he predeceased her.
While in Laconia, Anne was a member the Gilmanton and Opechee Garden
Clubs and enjoyed bridge with her friends.
She is survived by her two sons, Walter L. Mitchell, III and his wife, Carol, of Gilmanton, and Charles D. Mitchell and his wife, Janet. of Miami, Florida, as well as six grandchildren, Jason K. Mitchell of Decatur, Georgia, Jennifer Mitchell-Jackson of Oakland, California, David G. Mitchell of Lutz, Florida, Benton J. Mitchell of Gilmanton, Anne Katherine Mitchell of New York City and Rebecca Morgan Mitchell of New York City and six great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at the historic First Baptist Church in Lower Gilmanton (1469 Province Road).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anne’s memory to the Gilmanton Year Round Library, 1385 N.H. Rt 140, Gilmanton Iron works, NH 03837.
