FALL RIVER …William Perreira, 77, of Fall River died Friday, September 10, 2010 at home.
He was the husband of the late Bernice D. (Medeiros) Perreira.
He was born in Fall River, a son of the late Joseph Perreira and the late Mary (Grillo) Perreira Alves.
He was employed as a presser at Stella Ann Frocks, retiring in 1974 after 32 years.
Mr. Perreira was a communicant of Espirito Santo Church. He enjoyed bowling, swimming, bike riding, playing cards, dancing and being with his family.
Survivors include a daughter: Cheryl Perreira Howard of Fall River, 3 sons: James Perreira, George Perreira, Michael Perreira, all of Fall River, 2 sisters: Nancy DaCosta of Fall River and Debra Berube of Florida, 2 brothers: Joseph Alves of Fall River and Gerald Alves of Tennessee, 6 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late George Perreira.
Services to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Tuesday, September 14, at 8 AM from the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant St., Fall River followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM at Espirito Santo Church, Alden St., Fall River. Calling hours Monday, 5-8 PM.
