Obituary

Corrine M. (Edwards) Rogers, 88, of West Wareham and formerly of Walpole died September 9 in the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham. She was the wife of the late Edward Rogers.
Born in Jamaica Plain, Mrs. Rogers was raised in Roslindale and had lived in Walpole from 1955 until moving to West Wareham in 1985.
Corrine had been a secretary at Howard Engineering in Walpole for many years.
Mrs. Rogers found her greatest satisfaction in life with helping others. She had been a volunteer at Tobey Hospital, the South Coast Rehabilitation Center, for the Hospice program, and had also been a Eucharistic minister at St. Rita’s Church in Marion.
She is survived by her children, Ann M. Murphy of Taunton, Corrine E. Gerrish of Walpole, Joseph E. Rogers of Franklin and Frederick J. Rogers of Walpole.
She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Kasowski of Beatrice, Nebraska and was the sister of the late Virginia Mahn.
She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 14 from the Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main St. Walpole at 9:15 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Timothy’s Church, Norwood at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham at 12:30 p.m.
Visiting hours will be on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
