Daneu, Carolyn M. (Howard) of Marshfield September 7, at the age of 87. Beloved wife of John J. Daneu. Dear mother of Margaret Baraniecki, Carolyn Holmes, Christine Kane-Stone, John Daneu, Michael Daneu, Suzanne Daneu, the late Patricia Jean and the late Mary Ellen. Daughter of the late Montelle and Adele Howard. Carolyn is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Carolyn was born in Sacramento, CA. and grew up in Union Hill and Palisades Park, NJ. She graduated from Leonia High School in NJ. Carolyn was an office manager for the New Milford Physicians Group in New Milford, NJ. She also worked as a civilian for the Department of the Navy, worked in the estimating department at Bendix Aviation, and was a member of the Civil Defense during WW II. Carolyn has lived in Marshfield for 30 years. She enjoyed traveling (in particular, England), singing as a member of the Sweet Adelines, volunteering for the Boy and Girl Scouts of America and photography. Carolyn was a member of the Winslow House Association in Marshfield.
Visiting hours are Sunday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Funeral from the MacDonald Funeral Home 1755 Ocean St (Rte 139) Marshfield Monday at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Marshfield, at 10:30 am.
Interment will be at the MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:00 pm following the Mass.
Due to the flower restrictions at the cemetery contributions in Carolyn’s memory can be made to the World Wildlife Fund or Cranberry Hospice at Jordan Hospital.
