Manchester-Irene H. Roy, 94, died September 8, 2010 at the Holy Cross Health Center following a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on August 24, 1916 the daughter of Ferdinand and Delina (Breton) Hemond and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
She held membership in St. Anne Sodality, Daughters of Isabella, Order of Alhambra, Sultanas and at one time had been Ward 8 Moderator for 8 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Henry N. Roy on December 31, 1994.
Members of her family include 3 sons, Henry B. Roy of Hooksett, Ronald R. Roy of Manchester, Marc W. Roy of Myrtle Beach, SC., seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one sister, Fleurida Demers of Manchester, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 PM at the J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 AM in St. Catherine Church, Webster St.. Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
