Nicholas A. Mazza, 89, of Plymouth formerly of Dedham, passed away on September 6th. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret Mazza. Father of Maureen Westgate of Plymouth and the late Peter Mazza. Brother of Rita Mazza of East Boston. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Scott, Sean, Laurie and Matthew and 6 great grandchildren, Alexa, Emma, Braeden, Ailia, Julia and Maeve. He was predeceased in death by his step-father, Anthony Maggiore, his brother Francis Mazza and his sisters Marion Pascucci, Mary Mazza and Nellie Geggis. Born in Boston to the late Nicholas and Mary (Cornetta) Mazza, Nicholas graduated from East Boston High School in 1939. He served in the US Army AirCorp during WWII and was honorably discharged as Corporal. He later became a Boston Firefighter and retired after 28 ½ years of service. He was a former member of the Norfolk Golf Club and Disabled American Veterans. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, September 11th from 9 to 10:00 am at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Road, Route 3A, Plymouth (Manomet) followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Bonaventure’s Church at 10:30 AM. Burial will be private.
