Theresa M. (Sestito) Skinner passed away at the Glen Ridge Nursing Care Center on September 4, 2010. She was 91 years old.
A life long resident of Malden, Theresa graduated from Cheverus High School. She worked as an inspector for Lewis Candy Co. of Malden for 25 years and was married to the late Arthur M. Skinner Sr., her husband of 49 years.
Theresa was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Chiarina (Aloisi) Sestito. She was the beloved mother of Arthur M. Skinner Jr. and his wife Pamela of Malden and Janet P. Chase and her husband Eldon of Salem, NH. Theresa was the dear sister of Robert Sestito of Medford, Rose Durant of Malden and the late Catherine Collins, Viola Carlucci, Palmina Brauer, Vincent Sestito and Elizabeth Sachetta. She was the cherished grandmother of Deanna MacMillan, Cory Chase and one great-granddaughter, Jenna MacMillan. Theresa is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Thursday, September 9th at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Wednesday, September 8th from 3-8 p.m. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
