Paul V. “Bucky” Reilly, 55, of Mattapoisett died September 1, 2010 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Born in Queens, NY, the son of Lester “Bud” Reilly of Delran, NJ, John Lees, Sr. of Mattapoisett and the late Jane E. (Donaghy) Lees, he lived in Mattapoisett most of his life.
Paul was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church.
He was an ORR High School graduate where he was a standout football and basketball player. Paul obtained a basketball scholarship to Flagler College prior to serving 4 years in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and 10 years in the reserves. Paul was a graduate of Boston State University. Upon relocating to Florida with his family in 1988, Paul worked as a Software Engineer for Harris Corporation in Cape Canaveral in which he held several top secret clearances due to his direct involvement in NASA Space Program projects.
Survivors include his wife Kathryn L. (Tuttle) Reilly and her children, Adam D. Medeiros and Katelyn D. Medeiros; his former wife, Lynn (Letendre) Saunders; 3 sons, Aaron Reilly and his wife Julie, Ryan Reilly and Jordan Reilly; 6 brothers and sisters, Richard Reilly and his wife Melanie, Donna Reilly Askew, Andrew Reilly and his wife Meg, Karen Lees, John Lees, Jr. and his wife Pamela and Jane Lees; 3 grandchildren, Desiree, Austin and Katelyn Reilly; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Timothy Reilly and Joy Reilly.
