N. DIGHTON – Dorothy C. (Scott) Maxfield, wife of the late Herbert K. Maxfield, died at the Dighton Nursing Center on Sept. 1, 2010.
She was 79.
Born in Groton, CT, she was the daughter of the late Paul W. and Teresa (Christian) Scott.
A 1949 graduate of Peabody High School, she was later employed by the former BayBank where she worked for many years before retiring in 1992.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Priscilla Hogan of West Hyannis Port; three sons, H. Scott Maxfield and his companion Ginny O’Niel of N. Dighton, F. Steven Maxfield and his wife Sharon of Freetown, and Peter Kenney Maxfield and his wife Nicole of S. Dartmouth; a daughter, M. Lynne Urban of Medway and her husband Stan; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Tuesday, Sept. 7th at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at the West Dighton Christian Church Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Sept. 6th from 4 to 6 p.m.
