WILBUR RAY PATTERSON, 86, passed away on August 21, 2010.
He was a native of Grayson County, the son of William and Nora Patterson.
He retired from K&I Railroad, was an Army veteran of WW II, where he served in the Pacific Theatre, and was an avid UK fan, who loved the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew Patterson.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Gladys Jean (Embry) Patterson; his children, Donald (Lisa), John (Ann), and Debra (Gary); grandchildren, Dawn (Matt), Kim (Hershell), Dana, Donald, Jr. (Kelly), Rachael, Cody, and Mary; great-grandchildren, Michael, Jonithan, Samantha, Eva, Alicia, Wesley, and Hershell, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial in Layman Memorial Gardens, Millwood, KY.
Visitation will be 2 - 8 p.m. Tuesday.
