
Jean Dougherty Pencak, 87, Clarksville, died Monday, August 30, 2010, at her residence with her family by her side. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Joel Nulty officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born August 16, 1923 in Montgomery County, daughter of the late Henry Dougherty and Winnie Chester Dougherty. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Pencak; and brother, Roland Dougherty. Ms. Pencak was a member of Madison Street United Methodist Church and the Retired Officers Club at Ft. Campbell. She was an avid Bridge Player. Survivors include son, William Pencak,Jr., Old Bridge, N.J.; two daughters, Susan Johnson, Clarksville, TN; and Mary Pencak, Ocala, FL; sister-in-law, Ann Dougherty, Mobile, Alabama; five grandchildren, Katherine Pencak, William Pencak, III, Katherine Kitchen (Bo), Abby Binkley (Daniel), and William Slayden Johnson; and two great-grandchildren.
