Porritt, Clifford H. of Louisville went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, August 30, 2010 at the V.A. Medical Center.
He was born on November 26, 1917.
Clifford was a member of Shively Baptist Church, Shively Masonic Lodge #951, and Order of Eastern Star #566.
He graduated from McHenry High School in Ohio County, KY. Clifford was an accomplished musician who played regularly in the area and was a well known square dance caller.
He also was a WW II Army veteran and retired from the old S&T Hardware Industries Warehouse.
Clifford is preceded in death by his son Tim, two sisters, and three brothers.
Survivors include his daughters, Sherry Harris (Sherman) and Alana Harris (Gary) both of Louisville; sons, Joe Porritt (Pat) of Louisville, Chris Porritt (Robin) and Anthony Porritt both of Inglis, FL and Allen Estes of Louisville; former wife Allendale Porritt; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 12:00pm on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1-8pm on Wednesday and one hour prior to service on Thursday.
