
Ralph Aden Parker, 75, Clarksville, died Sunday, August 29, 2010, at Gateway Medical Center. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Dr. Roger Freeman and Rev. Kim Allen officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born February 22, 1935 in Plymouth, Vermont son of the late Elmer Parker and Eleanor Cushing Parker. He was Retired First Sergeant of the US Army and also retired after twenty one years with the United States Postal Service. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Clarksville. Survivors include his wife, Claudette "Woody" Parker; sons, Scott Parker (Donna), and Mark Parker (Nancy); daughter, Catherine Parker Russell (Larry); step-son, Bryan Stickles (Angela); sister, Lora Stevens (Laurence preceded in death); grandchildren, Curtis Parker, Nicholai Parker, Nathan Parker, Steven Henderson, and Richard Henderson; step-grandchildren, Nathaniel Stickles, Isaac Stickles, and William Stickles; and niece, Heather "Tex" Beaman (Lenny). He was preceded in death by his first wife, Masai "Sumi" Parker; brothers, Walter, Wallace, and Elmer Parker; half- brother, Johnny Buckman and half-sister, Anna Colby.
