Obituary

WEBSTER, MA / YUMA, AZ - Paul J. Harvanek, 69, formerly of Webster, died August 11, in Yuma, Arizona.
He leaves a nephew, Thomas A. and his wife Michelle Harvanek of North Grosvenordale, CT; a great niece, Camile Harvanek; a cousin, Barbara Weiss of Thompson, CT; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Terrence J. Harvanek in 1978, by his nephew James B. Harvanek in 1988, and by his aunt Jane Radzik in 2009.

He was born in Webster, a son of Joseph M. and Loretta S. (Zylka) Harvanek. He lived in Dudley for many years before moving to Webster in 1969. He later lived in Ashland until moving to Arizona in 1987.

Mr. Harvanek was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

He worked for many years on the assembly line at the General Motors plant in Framingham, MA before retiring in 1987.

A graveside service, with military honors, will be held at 9:00 AM Thursday, September 2, in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace, Old Worcester Road, Webster. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster.
