Maria Jose Benevides, age 90 of Fall River passed away, August 29, 2010. She was widow of Jose Ferreira and daughter of the late Manuel and Antonia (Soares) Benevides. Maria was a retired machine operator at Trina, previously, she worked at Hasbro Toys. She was a parishioner of St. Michael Church.
She is survived by 2 children: Julio B. Ferreira and his wife Naria and Maria A. Viveiros and her husband John all of Fall River; 4 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; 2 late brothers: Luis Benevides of Sao Miguel, Azores and Manuel Benevides of Canada.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. WEDENESDAY at 8 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church at 9 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours TUESDAY 5-8 P.M
