Worcester – Mrs. Clara (Lucivero) Cerqua, 87, passed away Saturday August 28th at St. Francis Nursing Home, Worcester.
She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Rose Belsito and her husband Louis of Worcester, a sister in law, Lena Lucivero of Worcester; also many nieces and nephews.
Clara was pre-deceased by her husband of fifty years the late Louis Cerqua; her brothers, Cipriano, Vilando, and Bruno Lucivero; and two sisters, Louise Mangini and Lucretia Flaminio.
Born September 17, 1922 in Worcester, Massachusetts a daughter of the late Giacomo and Carmella (Confolone) Lucivero. .
A lifelong resident, Clara was educated through the Worcester schools. She worked for over thirty years in the textile mills as a stitcher.
She enjoyed traveling with her late husband, playing bingo and her trips to the casino. Clara was a parishoner of the former St Margaret Mary Church in Worcester.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday August 31st at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel – St Ann Church, Worcester at 11am. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
