SANTOS, Richard J. "Dick" A long time resident of Wellesley and formerly of Lowell, passed away on Sunday August 29, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Beloved husband of Nancy Kissam, loving father to Dana Santos of Waltham and step-father to Kim Kissam of Needham, Marina Kissam of London, England and Alexis Kissam of Boston. Born in Lowell in 1932 to Lillian Ready Santos and Frank Santos, Dick was a graduate of Lowell High School, class of 1949. A 1954 Salem State graduate, Dick was stationed in New York City with the U.S. Army Intelligence from 1955-1957. After receiving a Masters in Communication from Emerson College, he spent a majority of his career as an accomplished Professor and Dean of the Management School at Northeastern University. He was a consultant to the President of Stone and Webster, an engineering firm, for several years. In retirement, Dick became the President and Owner of Boston Fruit Slice and Confectionary Corp, with his wife Nancy. He is survived by a brother David Santos, sister Beth Zambella, brother-in-law, Joe Zambella, all of Winthrop, Mass; niece Whitney Diedericks of Florida and nephew Todd Santos of California. Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. (Rt.16) Wellesley, Thursday at 10 AM. Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church, Wellesley Hills, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 5-8 PM. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley.
