Leonard F. Broderick, 57, of Mansfield formerly of Roslindale passed away on Sunday August 29, 2010 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He was the beloved husband of Catherine L. (Lockney) Broderick.
Born in Boston, MA on December 12, 1952 he was a son of the late John J. and Marguerite G. (Cullen) Broderick.
Len grew up in the Roslindale section of Boston. He was educated in Boston schools and was a graduate of Catholic Memorial High School in West Roxbury. He furthered his studies and was a graduate of Northeastern University where he received his Masters Degree in Business Administration.
A 21 year resident of Mansfield, Mr. Broderick was a former President and CEO of the Tremont Credit Union in Braintree, where he was employed for 32 years.
A communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield, Len loved vacationing at his home in Ossipee, New Hampshire. He enjoyed boating, playing golf and especially being in the presence of his adoring family.
Besides his beloved wife Catherine, he is survived by his devoted children Alana C. Broderick and Clint J. Broderick both of Mansfield. He was the brother of Thomas E. Broderick of Mansfield, Doreen M. Ryan of Quincy and John L. Broderick of California, and is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Saturday September 11th at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will be private.
Visiting hours are omitted and in lieu of flowers, Len’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the Mansfield Animal Shelter P.O. Box 25 Mansfield, MA 02048.
