Joseph D. Marandola, 77 years of Brockton, Thursday August 26, 2010 at Coyne Healthcare Center in Rockland. He was the husband of the late Marion (Mitchell)Marandola. He was born in Providence, Rhode Island the son of the late Thomas D. and Juliette F. (Mitchell)Marandola. He was raised in Randolph and had been a resident of Brockton for more than 43 years. Joseph was a Naval Veteran of the Korean Conflict and an Army Veteran during the Vietnam era. Mr. Marandola had been employed for many years as an Oil Burner Repairman working for The Atlas Oil Company in Dedham, retiring in the early eighties. He was an active member of the Teamsters, American Veterans of Randolph, VFW, Conte Club and the Enterprise Club where he was a weekend manager and bartender.
He is survived by two daughters Lorraine Ward of Darien, CT and Carol Marandola of Monument Beach; one grandson Parker Ward.
Funeral Service will held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 11am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday 5-8pm.
