A.W. Speake, 57, Adams, died Thursday, August 26, 2010, at Williamson County Medical Center. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home with Rev. Chip Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens Monday at 1:00 p.m.. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service Sunday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born February 11, 1953 in Gainesville, Texas. He was the son of James Tarver Speake and Charlene Rodgers Speake. He attended Olney Central College and graduated in 1973. He also received Bachelor's and Master's degree in Psychology in 1976 from Eastern Illinois University. He was a member of the USTA, an offical weather spotter. He was the Director of the Tennessee Area Training Center. He was a Tennis Pro and the Head Tennis Coach at Ravenwood High School in Brentwood where he led the 2010 girls to the state championship. He was also the USTA Midwest Tennis Coach of the Year. He is survived by his wife Martha Speake of Adams; one son, Stephen (Kimberly) Allensworth of Clarksville. One sister, Mary (Dave) Speake Brooks of Olney, IL. Two special nieces, Kylee (Ian Runyon) Brooks, Mia (Scott) Vieregge and one grandchild, Grace Allensworth. Pallbearers will be Dave Brooks, Scott Vieregge, Ian Runyon, John Brewer, Robby McCannon, Dave Junkins, Mark Sjouri, Mike Martin, and Stephen Carman. Honorary pallbearers will be The Boys and Girls Tennis Teams of Ravenwood High School.
