Obituary

David S. Chopelas, 34, of Arlington, died unexpectedly on Monday, August 23, 2010. He was the husband of Jennifer M. (Hale) Chopelas, with whom he shared eleven years of marriage.
Born in Stoneham on Jan. 14, 1976, he was the son of Timothy and Margarete (Hildebrand) Chopelas. He was raised and educated in Melrose and was a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1994. At the time of his death, he was completing his degree at Northeastern University.
David had most recently been employed as a account executive with A.W. Chesterton of Woburn.
An Eagle Scout, David served a two years mission with his church in Germany. He was a loving husband and an adoring, dedicated father to his son. He was a charitable person, who annually collected gloves for the homeless.
In addition to his wife and parents, he leaves his beloved son Adler of Arlington, his sister, Vivian Chopelas of California, his brothers and sisters-in-law, Karl and Elizabeth Chopelas of West Newbury and Timothy and Gee Chopelas of Danvers, his mother- and father-in-law Lana and Rusty Hale, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a loving extended family.
His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 3PM in Lynnfield Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 400 Essex St., Lynnfield. Visiting hours are Friday evening from 6-9PM and on Saturday from 1:30-2:30PM, all at the Lynnfield Chapel. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s name may be made to the Adler Chopelas Fund, c/o Bank of America, 655 Mass Ave., Arlington, MA 02474.
