Mary (Xifaras) Cote, 80, of New Bedford died Monday August 23, 2010 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Roger L. Cote.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Louis and Stella (Gerakaris) Xifaras, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church. She was a Christian.
Mrs. Cote was formerly employed by Elco Dress Company and Kay Windsor until her retirement.
She was an avid Boston Bruins fan.
Survivors include three sons, Theodore Cote and his wife Barbara Ann of Acushnet, Louis Cote and his wife Marylina of Columbus, GA, and George Cote and his wife Irene of New Bedford; two brothers, Stephen Xifaras and his wife Mary of Attleboro, and Atty. Robert L. Xifaras of New Bedford; two sisters, Georgette Nicholopoulos and her husband Nunda of Webster, and Jennie Konstantakos and her husband George of New Bedford; three grandchildren, William, Robert and Krista; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Michael Xifaras, George Xifaras, Dr. William Xifaras and Kay Brady.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 9 AM in St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 186 Cross Rd., Dartmouth. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
