Raymond L. Smith, 64, of Londonderry, NH died Sunday evening November 23, 2003 in the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH. Mr. Smith was born in Portland, Maine on July 4, 1939. He had resided in Londonderry for the past 27 years, formerly living in Ohio. He had formed Patriot Hardwood Floors, a successful business in Wilmington, MA which became the second largest distributor in New England.
He is survived by his wife, Kelley Rae Smith of Londonderry, his daughter, Laurae Ann Richards of Westford, MA, his son, V. Michael Smith of Londonderry, five grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday evening November 26th from 6 - 9pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Funeral services will be held on Friday November 28th at 10:00am in the funeral home. Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 10:30am in Forest City Cemetery, S. Portland, Maine. As he was a kidney transplant recipient at Mass. General Hospital, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to the National Kidney Foundation of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Vermont, 11 Vanderbilt Ave., Suite 105, Norwood, MA 02062.
