Paul W. "Rocky" Rochford, a resident of Malden and former longtime resident of Charlestown, died suddenly at his home in Malden on Monday, August 23, 2010. He was 61 years old.
Rocky was born in Boston and grew up in Charlestown where he attended Boston Public Schools. He enlisted into the United States Army in 1967 and served his country with the First Air Calvary Division during the Vietnam Conflict. He was discharged in 1970 with 100% war time disability.
Rocky is the beloved son of the late William S. and Marion (Hamilton) Rochford. He is the devoted brother of Marion Joyce of Wilmington, Irene Landolfi of Billerica, Catherine Doherty of Everett, William "Tubba" Rochford of Charlestown and the late Edward A. Wilson. He is the brother-in-law of Beverly Wilson of Charlestown. He is also the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Rocky's Funeral Service on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 10 a.m. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Interment at Veterans Administration National Cemetery, Bourne at 1 p.m. Visiting hours on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m.
