Obituary

Margaret "Peg" Ruth Thomas Moran, 81, of Derry, NH passed away on Saturday, August 21st at the Harris Hill Center in Concord, NH after bravely facing cancer. She was born in Concord, NH to Howard Quincy and Ruth Abbie (Hartson) Thomas.

She graduated from Concord High in 1946, attended Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA and graduated from Plymouth Teachers College in 1952.

Her profession was teaching. She taught elementary school in the Norwich, CT schools, as well as English as a Second Language(ESL) and citizenship with Norwich Adult Education. She was well-liked by her fellow teachers and students.

The focus of her life was her love for Jesus. She was an active member of three churches during her lifetime: The United Church of Christ in Norwich, CT, the Franklin Congregational Church in Franklin, CT and the Central Congregational Church in Derry, NH. Her ministries include teaching Sunday school and singing, at times as a soprano soloist.

She was predeceased by a sister, Frances Thomas Munoz Davis, a brother, John H. Thomas, a niece, Faith M. Munoz, a nephew, Douglas Rice and a grandniece, Eliza Hope Thomas.

She is survived by three sisters, The Rev. Helen D. Thomas, Elizabeth T. Densmore, Mildred T. Rice and her husband Donald, all of Concord, four nieces Martha Quigley, Joanne Bossert, Janette Gustafson and Jennifer Munoz, six nephews, William Thomas, James Thomas, Peter Thomas, Benjamin Thomas, Mason Munoz, and Shane Munoz, as well as many great nieces and great nephews.

There are no calling hours. Following cremation, relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial service on Sunday August 29th at 1:00pm in the Central Congregational Church, 14 Crescent Street, Derry. Interment will be at the Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord.
