Danielle H. Barnett, 72, of Malden, Massachusetts died Monday, August 16, 2010, after a short illness. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, June 24, 1938 to Toy and Vera Martin. Danielle grew up in Boston and resided in West Medford and Malden. Danielle attended and was a member of the St. Lukes Church in Malden. Danielle is predeceased by her husband, Oswald E. Barnett, her parents, Vera and Toy Martin, her brothers Richard and Paul Martin, and niece and nephew Linda Pollard and Ross Martin. Also known as Dani and Mimi, she is survived by her daughter Melita Jane Barnett and Dwight Taylor, and granddaughter Kayla Taylor of Medford, grandson Dasaun Sharpton and Bonnie Ratsavong and great-grandson Aiden Sharpton of Las Vegas, Nevada, she is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law Conrad and Mary Ellen Martin of Randolph, her sisters and husband, Phyllis and Frederick Brown, Jr. of Springfield, Mass. and Elaine Pollard of Lynn, Mass. as well as a host of nieces and nephews – great and great great nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Danielle will be laid to rest at the Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree, Massachusetts along side her late husband Oswald E. Barnett. There will be a celebration of Danielle's life on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 1 o’clock at Beals-Geake Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Massachusetts.
