Carol A. Rousseau, 57, of Derry, NH, died Sunday August 22, 2010, in her home. She was born in Lawrence, MA on March 13, 1953, a daughter of Walter and Lillian (Corriveau) Abovitch, and had been a resident of Derry for the past 1 1/2 years, formerly living in Windham, NH. She had been employed as a supervisor at the MSPCA in Methuen, MA for 23 years, and more recently as a cashier for the Hess Gas Station in Salem, NH. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary Post #1772 in Rochester, NH. She enjoyed crafts, beading, gardening, loved her dogs, and her grandchildren, especially her grandson Dylan.
She is survived by her son, Ted M. Rousseau of Derry; her daughter, Laurie A. Rousseau of Northwood, NH; two stepdaughters, Lisa Dean of Lowell, MA, and Kimberly Richards of Wilmington, MA; as well as five grandchildren, Haylie Rousseau, Dylan Rousseau, Lillian Dean, Krystal Rousseau, and Thomas Dean.
Calling hours were held on Wednesday, August 25th from 5:00 - 7:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, followed by a funeral service at 7:00pm in the funeral home.
