Taunton – Jose Carlos Medeiros, a long time Taunton resident, died Saturday August 21st after a brief illness. He was 71 years of age. He was the loving husband of Urania (Couto) Medeiros. Mr. Medeiros was born in St. Michaels, Azores. Son of the late Antonio Borges Medeiros and Teresa (Arruda) Medeiros. He was employed by Datel Inc. as an assembler. He belonged to the Jehovah Witness Congregation in Taunton. Mr. Medeiros liked fishing and loved spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Miriam Leroux of Attleboro and Nelia Epp of Middleboro. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Kayla Ann Leroux, Alexa Monet Epp, Kyle Robert Leroux, and Liam Von Epp. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 am at the Taunton Funeral Home 8 Crapo St. (off Tremont St.). Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours are held Tuesday from 5-8 pm. Burial will be at the Mayflower Hill Cemetery.
