Casey, Barbara R. died August 20, 2010 at the age of 88. She was the wife of the late James D. Casey. Born Barbara Ruth Loveland in Grand Rapids, Michigan, she was one of three sisters Patricia Smits and the late Norma Sandel. She married Fred Carritte and had two sons, Fred Carritte Jr.(deceased) and Bryan A. Carritte of Naples, FL.. Later she married James D. Casey, and moved to Plymouth where they made their home for the past forty years. An accomplished organist and pianist, she played at Tassy’s Restaurant in Kingston, MA, back in the seventies and eighty’s, along with various functions and churches throughout the Plymouth County area music was her life. In addition to her son and sister Barbara is survived by her stepdaughters Julia (Neddie) Barnard of Scituate and Betsy Howard of Vermont. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday Aug. 24, at the Church of St. Peter Plymouth at 10:00 AM Visiting hour will be held before the mass 8:45 to 9:45 AM at the Richard Davis Funeral Home 373 Court St. (Rte 3A) N. Plymouth. Burial will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery Bourne.
