Mrs. Katherine “Katie” Burch Riner
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Friday, August 20, 2010, Mrs. Katherine “Katie” Burch Riner, 87, wife of the late Preston Almarine Riner.
Mrs. Riner was born in Thomson, GA and was a lifelong resident of Augusta. She was a member of First Augusta Primitive Baptist Church. She retired after 40 years as founder and owner of Southgate Florist.
Family members include son Preston Wayne Riner of Alpharetta, GA; daughter, the late Arline Kathy Oellerich; grandchildren: Christopher Robert Oellerich, Amanda Arline Oellerich, Preston Wayne (P.J.) Riner, Jr.; and great-grandchild John Edward Vigil.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 23, 2010 at 2:30 P.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Elder Max Hicks officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
