Claire A. (Gaudette) Cassavant, 83, of Greenville Street died Friday, Aug. 20 in the Meadows of Leicester after an illness.
Her husband Arthur C. Cassavant died in 1998. She leaves a daughter Beverly M. Rusiecki and her husband Patrick of Ware, two brothers Roger Gaudette of Spencer and Francis Gaudette of Webster, two grandchildren Leesa Conway and Brian Rusiecki and several nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by a sister Lucille Cyr and a cousin Doris Thomson whom she grew up with.
Mrs. Cassavant was born in Spencer, daughter of Leo and Bella (Mercure) Gaudette. She graduated from David Prouty High School. She was a cashier at the former Gaudette’s Market in Spencer for 26 years retiring in 1987. She was a member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish. She enjoyed dining out.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, Aug. 24 from J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 8:30-9:30 AM.
